Saffron Hill Car Park

Saffron Hill is an existing car park located within the Hatton Garden conservation area near to Farringdon Train station. Radcliffes are acting as project managers having been involved since the early feasibility stage which included reuse and retrofit studies before the rebuild solution was progressed. The proposals were approved by Camden in November 2024.

Our Role

''A high quality redevelopment incorporating office, flexible and affordable jewellery workspace and a cafe, with significant public realm improvements.''

Radcliffes are acting as Project Manager and were responsible for assembling the design team to develop the proposals for the site.

After an initial feasibility study, proposals were developed with a focus on sustainability including the re-use of existing foundations, and flexible, inclusive design and sustainable material selection.

''A high quality redevelopment incorporating office, flexible and affordable jewellery workspace and a cafe, with significant public realm improvements.''

Our Impact

The new structure will incorporate a hybrid steel and cross laminated timber structural frame. This cutting edge aspect of the scheme required careful consideration across a number of project elements including specialist design team selection, procurement and third party engagement.

The completed development will provide a high quality, low-carbon, flexible and  characterful replacement to the former car park.
