Gusbourne Nest

Located in an existing portal framed industrial winery building, the Radcliffes team were engaged by the Gusbourne Estate to procure the design and construction of this 5,000sq ft visitor centre between the critical harvest and bottling periods. The work included the creation of a mezzanine floor level and balcony overlooking the vineyard to enhance the visitor and wine tasting experience.

Our Role

''A wonderful way to spend an afternoon.''

Radcliffes acted as Project Managers and Employer’s Agent for the construction of the Nest Visitor Centre at Gusbourne Winery in Kent. As part of the works, new staff welfare, meeting an office facilities were introduced.

''A wonderful way to spend an afternoon.''

Our Impact

Time constraints around the harvesting and bottling periods meant the works needed to take place within restricted periods. A programme was developed to reduce the programme by utilising off site construction for the solid oak and steel nest structure.
